ASOS Spring 2011 Lookbook

I always considered myself a Topshop girl, but as of late I’ve been really impressed by ASOS. You can lost for hours on the site… in a good way. Their latest lookbook is throwing out some pretty tempting stuff:

You may remember, however, that I resolved to buy less and buy better, which may rule out any future ASOS purchases of the above… But all credit to the stylist, because all I’ve been thinking about since setting my eyes on these images is the orange (or fluoro red?) sunglasses. And though I fainted at the sight of the limited edition Karen Walker Number One sunglasses earlier, the pair floating my boat at the moment is limited edition Deep Freeze in – yup – fluro orange.

Shit, either I’ll have to take the plunge (and contravene the SHOPPING BAN™) with the Karen Walker pair or break my New Year’s resolution (and contravene the SHOPPING BAN™). Ack. Or maybe this obsession will pass. Give me a few days and we’ll see.

I’ve been home sick for the past couple of days and amidst all the Christmas shopping I’ve been doing online, I had to buy these. It’s cheered me up immensely. Now, if I could only collect some more pennies to get the Alexander Wang ones…

I must be out of my mind.

The days are getting shorter and all I’ve been thinking about this weekend are sunglasses. It being Sweden and all, soon it’ll be pitch black by three in the afternoon, so what is the point of this fixation? I have no freaking clue.

All I do know is that there are two specific styles I have in mind and I’ve been searching on the good ol’ internet for the best price. Unfortunately, these aren’t your run-of-the-mill sunnies. They are statement sunnies. Like, such major statement they may be a little ridiculous. Or a lot.

Exhibit A:

Alexander Wang ‘Zoro’. Crazy, no? I like the tortoise shell versions from last season, too, but I doubt I can get them now.

Exhibit B:

Karen Walker ‘Number One’ in Crazy Tortoise. I love the cross between a cat’s eye and Wayfarer. And the tortoise.

I’ve just decided that I want them both.
